Description

VACCINIUM corymbosum BLUEBERRY Aurora

Aurora is a late season Highbush variety.  In late spring, masses of fragrant waxy bell-shaped flowers appear in tight clusters, giving way to extremely high yields of extra large powder blue berries of rich flavour.  The fruit is resistant to cracking and shrivelling but can be tart if harvested before fully ripe.  Attractive Autumn/Winter colour and interest provided by leaves and reddish stems.  Plant in an open sunny spot in a moist acid, but well-drained soil.  Can also be successfully grown in pots with ericaceous compost.

  • Self fertile, but as with all blueberries, cross pollination will encourage a greater yield.
  • Eventual height and spread: 1.2m – 1.8m
  • Planting distance: 1.5m apart or in pots using Ericaceous compost
  • Cropping season: August-September.

This product is supplied in a 4 litre pot.

4L stock will be supplied as pot grown plants where possible but at certain times of year they maybe fresh potted. Please enquire if clarification required.

Please Note: We do not part-deliver orders, so if an order contains a pre-order product, it will be held until all the items are available to dispatch.
