RIBES uva-crispa GOOSEBERRY Careless

Popular old variety due to its reliability.  Heavy cropper of very large, smooth, oval shaped berries.  Green fruit that turns white and transparent when ripe.  The fruit has an excellent crisp flavour and is ideal for culinary use.  Careless is a fast growing variety that can easily be trained as a fan, espalier, cordon or standard.  It is easy to grow and is an excellent choice for small gardens due to its compact and upright growth habit.

• Planting distance:1.5m apart in rows 2m apart
• Height & Spread: 1.5m x 1m
• Crops: mid July

Where possible, 3 litre stock will be supplied pot grown between late spring and early Autumn, thereafter the plants could be fresh potted. Please enquire for clarification.

Bare root stock is available for dispatch between November and March and will be available to pre-order from late summer. Please bear in mind that full payment will be taken at time of ordering. The season may be extended into April if the weather allows.
