RUBUS ILLECEBROSUS Sweet Balloon Berry 3L
This unique plant is the closest you can get to unifying strawberries and raspberries. Originating in Japan, it is a lovely ornamental plant great for ground cover in any garden and produces sweet fruit more akin to the size of a medium strawberry from August well into the autumn on the same years growth. This plant prefers to be grown in sunny to partial shade in soil that is free draining. Particularly in smaller gardens it is recommended to contain the roots of this plant somehow so that it doesn’t take over. Can also be grown successfully in a pot. Pruning is very easy, anything that doesn’t die down in the winter is to be cut back in the spring and the plant will grow away from the roots.
